Feb 2008 – C606 Thank you so much! We could have left our camera a number of places that day and we’ve accepted that it’s probably gone. We are just using that as an excuse to revisit all the places so we can take another set of photos! I would have loved to send you some pictures of us in the condo cooking. One of our favorite days was the hike around Haleakala. Thank you again to the Carvers! We just loved the space and the zen appeal of the bamboo! It was perfect for my yoga practice. It was the perfect change of pace from our hectic lives in New York City. The decor captured the essence of island life and the peaceful escape we were seeking. We especially enjoyed the short walk right down to the beach to watch the whales jump out of the ocean. The views were breathtaking and created the romantic atmosphere we desired. We cooked most evenings in the wonderful kitchen and savored our Hawaiian inspired meals with some wine on the lanai. We are looking for a short term opportunity in mid July. The timing worked out perfect for the hiring for the schools but he might not know for sure which school he will be working at until closer to the beginning of the school year. Therefore we’re looking for something for July and August and will then look for something more permanent after Labor Day. If you hear of anything in Kihei that is available please let us know. We really like this area best and thought it was centralized for both of us. We’re coming with two suitcases each and that’s it! I’m so excited. Mahalo for all your efforts! I appreciate everyone’s help in building our future together. It was a time we will never forget. We really enjoyed our stay. I will definitely recommend the place to stay for friends and family! We’ll be in touch for sure.
