“We are recent owners of a condo at Kihei Akahi. My wife and I first met Kathy McCartney two years ago when we were looking to book a condo for our six week vacation. The unit we had booked fell through just a month before we were due to start our six week vacation. Kathy was able to find 2 units that met our needs and at a good price. When we arrived in Maui we met to thank her for helping us on short notice. At that time we mentioned that after coming to Maui for the last ten years, we were looking to purchase a unit and would she be interested in managing it for us.
Last year we took the plunge and purchased a condo at the Kihei Akahi and gave Kathy our listing. She has been wonderful. Bookings have been better than expected and as new owners not knowing all the ins and outs of vacation rentals, Kathy has been a big help. She has guided us all the way, from securing a reliable housekeeping service, to shopping for a new sleeper sofa last month when ours no longer was functioning.
