Kanai A Nalu 406 – Guest Stay December 2019 – January 2020
“My family of 4 truly enjoyed this perfectly situated condo. We wanted to be centrally located on the island and this was perfect for us. The condo building itself provides a great family environment and the grounds are incredibly well kept and staff on the property are kind and helpful. We used the grill one night near the pool area and met friendly permanent residents of the condo that made us feel very welcomed. The condo unit itself was inviting and the items available for guest use makes for such a pleasant experience. Easy elevator access and very quiet at night. Everything worked great in the condo! We took advantage of nearby restaurants and even a visit to the Maui Aquarium. As other reviewers mentioned, the front guest room can get quite stuffy but fans provided helped a little bit. As we shared with the condo rental agency, just disappointed that during our visit beach erosion has occurred so we did not have immediate walkout beach access as we had hoped but alas we were busy enough with activities during our stay that we didn’t focus on it but just wished that opportunity for our kids as was noted in pictures. But we understand this is nature. We would most definitely stay at this condo again if the opportunity presented itself and highly recommend it!” -Deborah S.
Maui Vision Rentals Note:
In all of our listings for Kanai A Nalu, we do mention beautiful Haycraft Beach Park which is a very short walk and right next door to Kanai A Nalu. There begins a long stretch of beach where one can run, walk and enjoy the surf and sand for miles.
The photos we took for our listings were not manipulated and were the actual photos of the beach and complex in its normal state. Depending on the season and the wind and storm patterns on island, this will affect the beach being there and/or temporarily disappearing. This is a common occurrence around the entire island of Maui, not just Maalea Bay.

“Has all the special touches to make it feel comfortable and relaxing…artwork by Kathy, beach chairs and towels and boogie boards, good WiFi, nice view to catch the sunsets, great sleeping accommodations (though do know the birds wake up early and make some noise outside!), no pests, plenty of fans, etc. The condo commonplace has a pool, tennis/pickleball courts with the easy racket checkout process, and is easy to work with.”– Dallin D.

“This condo has a spectacular view of the Harbor. We watched 6 to 8 whales playing one evening not too far out. The condo is great for prepping meals. It even has a blender. Awesome dual gas grills by the pool. Beds are comfy.”– Jimmy F.

“Being a former Maui resident, I knew the location of this property is excellent. It is right across the street from a beautiful beach and close to many restaurants and shops (I rented a stand-up paddleboard and walked with it to the beach, just a block or two away). A grocery store is a 5-minute drive away. The condo was immaculate when we arrived. Although the condo is fairly small, the layout uses the space well. The thing that impressed me most was how well the condo is supplied. From dishes to cookware to toiletries (incl. sunscreen) to beach gear (towels, chairs, coolers, umbrella, snorkel gear) and more, about the only thing we needed to buy was food. The quality of the items supplied was good, too. Not the mishmash of “garage sale” quality dishes, cookware, utensils, etc. that you sometimes run into in a vacation rental. The king-size bed was a bit too hard for my wife but I was OK with it. The living room is nicely furnished and even had an impressive supply of DVDs. There is a small ocean view if you are at one end of the balcony. Although the condo has a 3rd-floor number (313), it is actually on the 2nd floor of the building, which is on a slight hill (that level is the 3rd floor on the other end of the building). We really liked the keyless (code) entry – no keys to worry about. The resort pools are fairly small but were not crowded when we used them – water was a nice temperature. We were very pleased with our 8-day stay.”– Mark H.

“The property was clean and well maintained. The property well equipped and updated. The view from the balcony was the best. Whale watching all day from the balcony was as good as going on a whale watching tour. Within walking distance to a public beach that faces south where the usual northerly winds didn’t make the water rough. It was great for snorkeling. We spotted sea turtles up close and all kinds of fish and other sea creatures. We couldn’t have asked for a better location. The property is centrally located on the island so it’s a short drive to the airport, Lahaina, Kihei or Wailea.” – Mark N.

“The unit was in a great location and was extremely well-stocked. Check-in and out was easy and had plenty of things for the beach and for easing our stay there. 10/10. Would stay again in a heartbeat.” – Shad M.

“Kathy’s place is great and centrally located in Kihei, minutes to Kamaole beach (which is stunning). The pools are refreshing, the grounds are well maintained. We really enjoyed waking up in the morning to the beautiful, chirping birds, making some coffee and relaxing on the patio. The sleeper sofa is a little on the uncomfortable side, but when you’re in paradise, it barely matters. Naps on the chaise lounge were nice and we enjoyed having a kitchen at our disposal. Loads of great stuff within walking distance, too. We’d absolutely stay there again.” – Lisa W.
