“Location, Location, Location! This was the first time our family has traveled to Maui and beach is what we came for. Kam II does not disappoint. I especially liked how the area was frequented by locals plus many dining choices within walking distance. The condo itself was more accommodating than anticipated for my family. The pull out sofa was comfortable. The kitchen was fully stocked so much so that we were able to take meals to the beach thanks to all the provided Tupperware. We also appreciated the boogie boards and beach chairs provided. Again the location was ideal especially while visiting the beaches located in Wailea. Kihei has such a nice, chill vibe. We will definitely look in this area for our next Maui vacation!” – Karen L.

“Just returned from a week stay (February 4-10) at Kathy’s rental property in North Kihei. Having never been to Hawaii before we booked our stay not really knowing the location or what to expect. During peak season the price was right and the photos looked perfect so we had no hesitation securing the reservation. Leading up to check-in, Kathy was great, she sent lots of information and was very clear about any details & policies surrounding the rental. Check-in was super easy (just make sure you have your instructions) as the keyless entry is a breeze. Here’s a few extra details. Rental Unit: Fully equipped with everything you need, we didn’t run out of any basics during our week stay and there were plenty of towels + beach towels to go around. The linens were comfortable and light (because it can get a little warm in the bedrooms) but there are multiple fans in each room along with the main AC unit in the living room. Parking is super easy and it is right in front of this place on ground level, so it makes it SUPER easy to get your luggage in and out… no stairs! Despite not having a great view of the water which the photos accurately showed, the Lanai is very comfortable and you can hear the waves or sit outside if its raining. Internet and TV also worked perfect along with any other appliance. Washer/Dryer are nice and appreciated the laundry pods! Also must say the photos really didn’t do this unit justice, it is very very clean, modern and well-maintained. Master bedroom is very spacious with big closet and living room is huge with dining room also. Great for entertaining friends and cooking dinner. Location: This is definitely North Kihei as the listing states so don’t be fooled if you think you can walk easily everywhere you will need a car or Uber/Lyft which are readily available and fairly cheap ($10 to main Kihei, $20 to Wailea). Lots of amenities within a short drive (Liquor store, grocery stores, drugstores) etc. within a few minutes. Beach Access: This unit is literally right across the street from the beach – maybe 150 yards. Perfect for morning walks and late evening sunsets, it’s very beautiful and you can walk for quit a bit. The beach by the property certainly isn’t the best beach in Kihei, but there is no shortage of families or people out and around on it. It’s sandy bottom with limited rocks so it’s great in that sense but there’s certainly nicer beaches the further south you go (Kamole, Wailea) etc., but it is very good for the location to the condo. We saw SO many whales while sitting on the beach, along with wind surfers. It’s a great spot to relax on a chair 🙂 Pool/BBQs: Certainly exceeded our expectations. Right across from the unit it is easily accessible and was very clean. Pool and hot tub are nice and BBQs (2) are great for grilling out. Photos didn’t do it justice! Extra perks: Boogie boards (x2), big beach towels, beach chairs (x3), snorkle gear, laundry pods, kitchen essentials + a lot of extras, cleaning supplies, extra sheets, lots of normal towels” – Morgan B. & Dustin Y.

★ ★ ★ ★ ★“We really enjoyed staying here. We agree with all 3 reviews from 2018. Very nicely remodeled and furnished unit, very clean, light and airy, nice artwork, ceramic tile flooring throughout. Very comfortable king size bed. Great water pressure. Very well-equipped kitchen with gas range. The ocean view from the open kitchen and living room is wonderful to wake up to, and to enjoy over breakfast on the balcony! The complex has very well-maintained grounds and landscaping, pools and BBQs, and is right across the street from Kama`ole Beach II and within easy walking distance to shops and restaurants. Also a convenient location for excursions around the island. Kathy and her housekeeper responded promptly to all our queries. They provided a blanket on request because we had some cold weather, a document with lots of great recommendations for things to do around Maui and a welcome basket of goodies! We highly recommend this unit for a vacation.” – Anirudh & Kristen S.

I loved the downstairs corner unit. It was quiet, peaceful and delightful. I woke up each morning with the beach, bluesky and sun in my eyes. A necessary break from cold Anchorage, Alaska. Two bathrooms was very useful. We had everything we needed, washer dryer, beach chairs and water toys, extra towels, and coffee pot. The entire condo is very nice. Maui is a calm and comfortable vacationing spot. I would go again. – Jeanine K. & Oscar A.

Lovely little condo!

“My husband and I stayed here for 10 days and simply loved it. The condo is well taken care of and has everything you could need for a beach vacation. It is well kept and everything works well. There are beach chairs and a small cooler which were perfect for day trips and taking down to the beach. We drove to Lahaina and brought our own lunch as well as a day trip to Hana and visited La Perouse Bay and Makena. The cooler was great to bring our own food. New stove and couch compared to the photos which was a lovely surprise. The unit is nice and secluded on its corner location on the ground floor but still very accessible to everything. Short walk to the pool and just a little further to the beach. Nice that the patio door locks to avoid going around to the front between the pool and the condo. Maui Vision Rentals took great care of us with a welcome basket and made sure we were safe and taken care of with the unusual severe storm that occurred one day. Very much appreciated! Definitely recommend this unit!” – Megan F.
