Kihei Akahi C 313 – Guest Stay January-February 2020
“Being a former Maui resident, I knew the location of this property is excellent. It is right across the street from a beautiful beach and close to many restaurants and shops (I rented a stand-up paddleboard and walked with it to the beach, just a block or two away). A grocery store is a 5-minute drive away. The condo was immaculate when we arrived. Although the condo is fairly small, the layout uses the space well. The thing that impressed me most was how well the condo is supplied. From dishes to cookware to toiletries (incl. sunscreen) to beach gear (towels, chairs, coolers, umbrella, snorkel gear) and more, about the only thing we needed to buy was food. The quality of the items supplied was good, too. Not the mishmash of “garage sale” quality dishes, cookware, utensils, etc. that you sometimes run into in a vacation rental. The king-size bed was a bit too hard for my wife but I was OK with it. The living room is nicely furnished and even had an impressive supply of DVDs. There is a small ocean view if you are at one end of the balcony. Although the condo has a 3rd-floor number (313), it is actually on the 2nd floor of the building, which is on a slight hill (that level is the 3rd floor on the other end of the building). We really liked the keyless (code) entry – no keys to worry about. The resort pools are fairly small but were not crowded when we used them – water was a nice temperature. We were very pleased with our 8-day stay.”– Mark H.
